SETTING
The Atalanta Building, a 1920s windowless concrete tower
designed for cold storage
PLOT
The cold concrete structure is converted into sunlit residential lofts,
taking advantage of one of the area’s tallest landmarked buildings
while maintaining the fabric of the neighborhood.
THE SITE
With views to both the Empire State Building
and to Battery Park, the 17-story Atalanta houses
a commercial street level with 42 loft units,
2 penthouses and an open roof deck above.

Exposed concrete walls
